On October 13, 2020, at an extraordinary meeting of the current Parliament, a new Speaker of the Parliament Kanatbek Isaev was elected.

On October 14, 2020, deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic approved the candidacy of Sadyr Japarov for the post of Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as the program, structure and composition of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic.

On the same day, President Sooronbai Jeenbekov signed a decree on Appointment of the Prime Minister and Members of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic.
