On May 10, 2021 Permanent Representative of the Kyrgyz Republic to the UN Mirgul Moldoisaeva met with the President of the 75th session of the UN General Assembly Volkan Bozkyr.

During the meeting, Permanent Representative M. Moldoisaeva informed President Volkan Bozkyr about the priorities and initiatives of Kyrgyzstan, in particular about the unanimous adoption of the UN General Assembly resolution initiated by the Kyrgyz Republic "Nature knows no boundaries: transboundary cooperation is a key factor in the conservation, restoration and sustainable use of biodiversity", ongoing work within the Group of Friends of Mountain Countries, established at the initiative of the Kyrgyz Republic, on other topical issues.

The Permanent Representative also informed about the work carried out within the framework of the chairmanship of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Asia-Pacific regional group of the UN. Issues of interaction between the UN General Assembly and the countries of the Asia-Pacific regional group were discussed.

UNGA President Volkan Bozkyr welcomed the leadership of the Kyrgyz Republic in promoting important initiatives at the UN platform and expressed confidence in further fruitful cooperation with Kyrgyzstan within the framework of the UN General Assembly.

In turn, Permanent Representative Mirgul Moldoisaeva, noting the high level of functioning of the UN General Assembly under the chairmanship of President Volkan Bozkyr despite the situation related to COVID-19, assured that he can always count on the support of the Kyrgyz side.
