Deputy Attorney General of the Kyrgyz Republic Abay Moldokmatov virtually took part in the 32nd Special Session of the UN General Assembly on challenges and measures to prevent and combat corruption and strengthen international cooperation, which takes place from 2 to 4 June, 2021.

On his speech A. Moldokmatov noted that the Kyrgyz Republic recognizes and supports the central coordinating role of the UN in the fight against corruption on the basis of the comprehensive and universal UN Convention against Corruption, which Kyrgyzstan ratified in 2005. The Kyrgyz side also welcomed the adoption of the Political Declaration of the Special Session, which will become a conceptual and working document, a kind of roadmap for improving the work of the participating States in the fight against corruption. In addition, was also noted that an active and irreconcilable fight against corruption in any of its manifestations is being conducted in the country.

Counteraction to any manifestations of corruption is reflected in the National Development Strategy of the Kyrgyz Republic for 2018-2040. The event is attended by representatives of 120 states, international organizations and civil society.
