Today, April 11, 2022 Permanent Representative of the Kyrgyz Republic to the UN Aida Kasymalieva attended the opening of the Twelfth Session of the Open-ended Working Group on Aging of the UN General Assembly.

More than 50 UN member states, President of the 76th session of the UN General Assembly Abdullah Shahid and UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Michelle Bachelet, as well as representatives of human rights institutions and non-governmental organizations took part in this event.

Permanent Representative of the Kyrgyz Republic Aida Kasymalieva delivered an introductory speech, in which she informed about the ongoing work of state bodies of the Kyrgyz Republic to improve the quality of social services for the older persons, including the work to increase the amount of social benefits for the elderly from June 1 of this year.
