On October 14, 2019, Permanent Representative of Kyrgyzstan to the UN Mirgul Moldoisaeva took part in the meeting of Second Committee of the 74th session of UN General Assembly dedicated to discussion of sustainable development issues. 

In her statement, Permanent Representative Mirgul Moldoisaeva once again confirmed the Kyrgyz Republic commitment to the implementation of Agenda for Sustainable Development before 2030 and other obligations in accordance with international documents on national level in framework of the National Strategy of Development of the Kyrgyz Republic for 2018-2040.  

In addition, Permanent Representative Mirgul Moldoisaeva informed about contribution of the Kyrgyz Republic to promotion of different international initiatives in support to sustainable development of mountainous countries. Particularly she reminded about the initiative of Kyrgyzstan on designation of December 11 as World Mountain Day and several UN resolutions in support and promotion of sustainable mountain development principles. Separately Permanent Representative Mirgul Moldoisaeva noted the importance Kyrgyz party's initiative on establishment of the Group of Friends of Mountainous Countries in August 2019, and holding of the High-level Ministerial Event on Sustainable Mountain Development under chair of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic in framework of the 74th session of UN General Assembly in September 2019. 

Apart from it, Permanent Representative Mirgul Moldoisaeva informed about further plans of the Kyrgyz Republic on dialogue promotion in framework of sustainable mountain development. Particularly she has informed that the Kyrgyz Republic and Italy will work together on adoption of the updated resolution of the UN General Assembly entitled "Sustainable Mountain Development" which is the basic in this issue.
