First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Dinara Kemelova met with UNDP Deputy Administrator, Regional Director for Central Asia and Europe Jihan Sultanoglu

First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Dinara Kemelova on the sidelines of the UN meeting on launching the international decade of action "Water for Sustainable Development" met with UNDP Deputy Administrator, Regional Director for Central Asia and Europe Jihan Sultanoglu.

During the meeting, the sides discussed a wide range of issues, including the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals, the new UNDAF cycle (Development Assistance Framework between the Kyrgyz Republic and the UN), the issues of preventing radiation threats in Central Asia and the related initiative of Kyrgyzstan to promote the relevant resolution during the 73rd session General Assembly of the United Nations.

Particular attention was paid to the promotion of such global projects as the Snow Leopard Conservation Forum and the World Nomad Games.

Also, the delegation of Kyrgyzstan took part in the event entitled "Israel: Water Solutions", where innovative technologies were presented to solve the problems of water shortage and clean water supply. Experts in the field of water resources shared their experience and presented advanced solutions contributing to the achievement of sustainable development around the world.

The meeting was held at the UN headquarters in New York on 22 March.
