Permanent Representative of Kyrgyzstan to UN Mirgul Moldoisaeva participated in Open briefing

On 2 July 2018 the Permanent Representative of the Kyrgyz Republic to the UN Mirgul Moldoisaeva took part in the Open briefing of the Executive Directorate of Counter-Terrorism Committee on Central Asia.

Under-Secretary-General of the UN Counter-Terrorism Office Vladimir Voronkov, Assistant Secretary-General and Executive Director of the Counter-Terrorism Committee Executive Directorate Michele Coninsx and Head of the UN Regional Centre for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia Natalia Gherman also participated in the briefing.

In her statement the Permanent Representative Mirgul Moldoisaeva mentioned the main dimensions of Kyrgyzstan's cooperation with international, mainly the United Nations, and regional organizations in sphere of countering terrorism and auxiliary crime activities as illegal drug and arms trafficking, propaganda of radical ideas in internet and other threats to security of the Central-Asian countries.

In addition, Mirgul Moldoisaeva underlined the importance of exchange of best practices and experience in counter-terrorism sphere, additional measures implementation in sphere of technological and informational assistance as well as improving of human resource capacities of law-enforcement institutions of Central-Asian countries by international organizations such as the Counter-Terrorism Committee Executive Directorate.
