Diplomatic relations between the Kyrgyz Republic and the United Arab Emirates were established on August 1, 1996.

In January 1999, the Consulate General of the Kyrgyz Republic was established in Dubai.

The Ambassador of UAE Mohammed Hareb Al Mehayribi (with residence in Tashkent) was accredited in Bishkek on April 24, 2013.

During the official visit of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Almazbek Atambaev to the United Arab Emirates (December 2014), a decree on the establishment of the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates was signed.

On February 15, 2016, the Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic in the UAE, Chyngyz Eshimbekov, presented his credentials to the Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE, Ruler of Dubai H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

May 20-27, 2006 - official visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic A.Jekshenkulov to the United Arab Emirates.

February 2-4, 2008 - working visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic E. Karabaev to the United Arab Emirates.

February 8-10, 2012 - visit of the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates H.Al-Gheit to the Kyrgyz Republic.

December 4-7, 2014 - the official visit of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic A.Atambaev to the United Arab Emirates as part of a tour to the Arab countries.

September 25, 2015 - meeting of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic E.Abdyldayev with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the UAE Sheikh Abdullah Al Nahyan in the framework of the UN General Assembly.

April 13-15, 2016 - visit of the UAE business delegation led by Minister of energy of the UAE S. Al-Mazroui.

September 3-4, 2016 - visit of the UAE delegation headed by the Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development of the UAE Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan to attend the Opening Ceremony of the Second World Nomad Games.

October 18, 2016 - meeting of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic E.Abdyldayev with the Minister of State, member of the UAE Government M.Al-Shamsi on the margins of the 43rd session of the Ministerial Council of the OIC in Tashkent.

January 16-17, 2017 - official visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic E.Abdyldaev to the United Arab Emirates.

May 24, 2017 - official visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Abdalla bin Zaed Al Nahyan to the Kyrgyz Republic.

July 10, 2017 - meeting of the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic D.Kemelova with the UAE Minister for Climate and Environment Thani Ahmed Al-Zeyudi and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates Jakub Yusef Al-Hosani as part of the OIC conference.

September 29, 2017 - meeting of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic E.Abdyldayev with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the UAE Sheikh Abdalla bin Zaed Al Nahyan in the framework of the UN General Assembly.

December 1, 2017 - meeting of the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic N.Abdrahmanov with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates M.Sharaf at the 7th Ministerial Meeting of the countries participating in the Istanbul process «Heart of Asia».

January 14-16, 2018 - the delegation of the Bishkek City Hall took part at the «Abu Dhabi Sustainable Development Week».

January 31, 2018 - visit of the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic N.Abdrahmanov to the United Arab Emirates.

February 10-11, 2018 - the governmental delegation of the Kyrgyz Republic headed by the Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic S.Isakov took part at the 6th World Summit of Governments in Dubai.

September 2-3, 2018, the official delegation of the United Arab Emirates, headed by Crown Prince of the Emirate of Fujairah, Sheikh M. Al Sharqi, Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development of the UAE N.Al Kaabi, Chairman of the Committee of Festivals and Cultural Heritage F.Al Mazrui took part in the opening of the 3rd World games of nomads in Kyrgyzstan.

October 15, 2018 – visit of the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates M.Sharaf to the Kyrgyz Republic.

December 18-19, 2018 - official visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Chingiz Aidarbekov to the United Arab Emirates.
