Kyrgyz President to pay official visit to UAE

On Dec.11-12, at the invitation of Crown Prince of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov will pay an official visit to the United Arab Emirates, Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the President’s Office Daniyar Sydykov said.

During the visit, the Kyrgyz leader is expected to negotiate with Crown Prince of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi in a narrow and extended format.

At the meeting, the sides will discuss the prospects of bilateral cooperation in political, trade, economic and cultural and humanitarian spheres.

As a result of the talks, a number of bilateral agreements in the spheres of education, culture, tourism and infrastructure projects, including the construction of the Islamic Academy in Bishkek are expected to be signed.

"As you know, the idea of establishing the Islamic Academy in Kyrgyzstan emerged after talks between Sooronbay Jeenbekov and Russian President Vladimir Putin in Sochi in February 2019.

The main goal of the Islamic Academy is to provide higher education, training and retraining for governmental and non-governmental institutions and religious organizations, as well as to improve their qualifications," said Daniyar Sydykov.

Within the framework of the visit, President Jeenbekov will meet with UAE Vice President and Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

The sides will discuss issues of bilateral cooperation in all areas of cooperation.

Foreign Policy Department Head Sydykov noted the Kyrgyz leader plans to hold a meeting with representatives of the UAE Chamber of Commerce and Industry, where the issues of further increase of bilateral cooperation in trade, economic and investment spheres will be discussed.

The meeting with Hamad Salem bin Cardous Al Ameri, the Director General of the Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahayan Charitable Foundation will also take place.

At the end of the visit, the Kyrgyz President will meet with compatriots temporarily residing in the United Arab Emirates.
