Kyrgyzstan’s Deputy Prime Minister Zamirbek Askarov met with Minister of Economy, Co-Chairman of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and the United Arab Emirates Sultan Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansoori.

The meeting took place as part of Askarov’s participation in the regular World Green Economy Summit (WGES), held in Dubai these days.

The sides discussed the current issues of economic and investment cooperation between the two countries and stressed the interest in the further development of bilateral relations.

Deputy PM Zamirbek Askarov and UAE Economy Minister Sultan Al Mansoori noted with satisfaction the first meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation, held in March this year in Bishkek.

“There are quite a lot of priority areas of cooperation between our countries. This is the sphere of economy, trade, agriculture, tourism, aviation. I hope that work in these areas will further strengthen our cooperation,” the Kyrgyz deputy PM said.

In addition, Askarov met with Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, Major General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri.

The sides discussed further development of cooperation, including in accordance with the agreements, reached during the visit of a delegation of the Kyrgyz Internal Ministry to the Emirate of Dubai in July this year, namely the provision of software and technical assistance to support reforms within the framework of the Year of Regional Development and Digitalization.

Deputy PM Askarov expressed his gratitude to Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri for a positive consideration of the issue of providing a special quota for cadets of the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic with the right to free training at the Dubai Police Academy.
