President Jeenbekov meets with Chairman of CCI Dubai

Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov on Thursday met with Majid Saif Al Ghurair, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) of Dubai.

The sides exchanged views on measures to enhance cooperation between the business community of the two countries, the press service of the Kyrgyz President said.

Jeenbekov expressed condolences to Majid Saif Al Ghurair on the death of his father.

The Kyrgyz leader noted the great untapped economic potential of the countries. He proposed to pay attention to the priority areas that meet the interests of Kyrgyzstan and the UAE on the site of the CCI Dubai.

Sooronbay Jeenbekov drew attention to such areas as the development of free economic zones, the construction of trade and logistics centers, the green economy, renewable energy, agriculture, food security, digitalization, the development of modern technologies, mining, tourism and the development of small and medium-sized businesses.

The President expressed confidence the exchange of experience will allow to implement various joint projects that serve to deepen bilateral cooperation and benefit the citizens of the two countries, and invited the CCI Dubai chairman to visit Kyrgyzstan.

Majid Saif Al Ghurair noted the Emirate side is pleased with the visit of Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov.

He stressed UAE President Khalifa bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and the country's leadership pay attention to cooperation with Kyrgyzstan and call on the UAE business circles to actively cooperate with the Central Asian countries.

The Dubai CCI chairman noted he is informed about the favorable investment climate in Kyrgyzstan.

Majid Saif Al Ghurair stressed relations with Kyrgyzstan have a special place, and over the past 4 years there has been an increase in mutual trade turnover.

The CCI chairman expressed confidence this official visit of President of Kyrgyzstan will give impetus to the development of bilateral cooperation, called on the business circles of Kyrgyzstan to actively work with the UAE business circles.
