On May 13, 2024, the Head of the Mission of the Kyrgyz Republic to the European Union, Ambassador Aidit Erkin, took part in the opening ceremony of the first special training for civil servants from Central Asian countries, organized by the College of Europe in Bruges with the support of the European Union.

The project for training of young civil servants from Central Asian countries in special short-term course is the implementation of one of the initiatives discussed at the meeting of the leaders of the countries of Central Asia and the European Union, which took place in Cholpon-Ata on June 2, 2023. The project was further reflected in the Joint Roadmap between Central Asia and the European Union, adopted in Luxembourg on October 23, 2023.

Ambassador Aidit Erkin noted the importance of expanding academic cooperation with the European Union and sharing experiences between government officials, which is one of the important elements of strengthening bilateral and interregional cooperation. In this regard, he expressed gratitude to the Rector of the College of Europe, Ms. F. Mogherini, for organizing these trainings, which are expected to be conducted on an annual basis with the full financial support of the European Union.
