According to the National Statistical Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic, in 2017 the trade turnover between countries was 31.5 million dollars. Export – 21.2 million dollars, import – 10.3 million dollars.

The main export items are gold, antimony and its compounds, auto parts, non-ferrous metals, radiators, ferrous metal products, etc.

The main import items are engineering products (industrial equipment, mechanical devices, machinery and apparatus, components), vehicles, optical devices and devices, pharmaceuticals, perfumes and cosmetics, various food products, petroleum products (lubricating oils), paper, cardboard and products of them.

In the framework of economic diplomacy, the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in Belgium is constantly working to interact with Belgian government agencies on investment and trade to establish closer contacts.

On 3 February 2014, the meeting of an Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to Belgium A.Isaev with Deputy Director for Internal Investment of the Flanders Investment and Trade Agency (FIT) T.Kastrell and regional manager for Central and South Asia (FIT) K.De Vlischower was held, during which the parties discussed possible ways for trade and economic cooperation between the Kyrgyzstan and the Flemish region of Belgium. The Belgian side was provided with information on investment projects of the Kyrgyz Republic for further distribution among interested Belgian companies and departments;

On 12 February 2014, in Antwerp, a meeting with a group of businessmen from the Flemish region was held, during which various opportunities for establishing ties between the business communities of Flanders and Kyrgyzstan were discussed. The Embassy presented to businessmen the investment projects of the Kyrgyz Republic.

On 17 February 2014, the business meeting of the head of the Economic Department of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic T.Abdygulov with the Deputy Director General of the Wallonia Investment and Trade Agency Chantal de Blue (AWEX) was held in Brussels. A wide range of opportunities for trade and economic cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and Belgium was discussed.

Organization of a round table on business and investment opportunities of the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as the role of the EU in supporting small and medium-sized businesses, on 24 April 2014 in Brussels was one of the important events in recent years.

Round table on the business opportunities of the Kyrgyz Republic with the participation of the delegation of the Ministry of Economy, representatives of Belgian investment and trade agencies, Belgian Foreign Ministry, EU institutions, business communities of Belgium Kyrgyzstan was organized on 25 April 2014.

On 23-24 November 2015, the delegation of the Foreign Trade and Investment Agency of the Walloon region of Belgium "AWEX" visited Kyrgyzstan. During the visit, a business forum was held with the participation of Investment Promoting Agency under Ministry of Economy and the Chamber of Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic representatives, as well as business sectors of Kyrgyzstan and Belgium.

On 24 March 2016 in the city of Antwerp, the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic held a business seminar based on the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Flanders "VOKA" with the participation of members of the Eastern Europe Business Club and representatives of the business community of the Flemish region of Belgium.

On 6 October 2016 in the city of Antwerp at the International Forum on Entrepreneurship the official representative of the Chamber of Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic in Germany and the Czech Republic K.Itibaev presented the investment potential of the Kyrgyz Republic. Forum was organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Flanders "VOKA" with the support of the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in Belgium and other diplomatic missions of Central Asian countries.

On June 14, 2018 during the meeting of an Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to Belgium A.Isaev with the Executive Director of the Foreign Trade Department of the Walloon Agency for Foreign Trade and Investments "AWEX" Ch. De Bleu, during the the Walloon Digitalization Conference held by AWEX, an agreement was reached on the organization of the Belgian trade mission to Kyrgyzstan in 2019.

Within the promotion of the tourist potential of the Kyrgyz Republic, an infotour to the countries of Benelux and France was organized on 3-9 April 2017 for representatives of tourist companies from the Kyrgyz Republic (Glavtour, Bon Voyage, Target Tour, Gulnaz Tour, Globus and "Travel Shop", as well as representatives of the Association of Travel Agencies of the Kyrgyz Republic). For the first time such a large-scale tourist mission of the Kyrgyz Republic visited several EU countries at once. A significant result of the past infotour was not only the presentation of the domestic tourist market of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Benelux countries, but also the establishment of contacts with foreign counterparts with the purpose of foreign market entry by domestic companies.

On 14 May 2018, the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in Belgium together with the tourist agency Nomadstan held an Open Door Day and the presentation of the Third World Nomad Games for representatives of the largest tourist companies and journalists in the countries of accreditation. The event was attended by tourism companies from Belgium ("Anders Reizen", "Qvovaois", "Traveler-quide", "Transmeeting", "Visa support service"), from the Netherlands ("Paardenpas", "Annelis Righter"), and journalists from PR-Laurence Hennon and Public Relations.
