International events with the participation of foreign leaders to be held in Cholpon-Ata on 2-3 June

The second Summit of the European Union - Central Asia will be held on June 2 this year in Cholpon-Ata city under the chairmanship of President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov.

President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Nurmuhammed Amannepesov and President of the European Council Charles Michel will participate in the Summit.

The current state and prospects of political, trade and economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation between the two regions will be discussed, and views will be exchanged on relevant issues on the international agenda and interaction between Central Asian states and the European Union.

President Sadyr Zhaparov will also hold bilateral meetings with the heads of delegations.

On the next day, June 3, President of the European Council Charles Michel will pay an official visit to the Kyrgyz Republic.

Bilateral talks with the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Mr. Sadyr Zhaparov are planned during the visit. In narrow and extended formats the parties will discuss Kyrgyz-EU partnership.
