The Kyrgyz Republic and the UAE pay great attention to the cultural and humanitarian cooperation.

The Kyrgyz Republic and the UAE exchange cultural delegations during festivals and cultural events held in the two countries.

On May 15-22, 2016, the Week of Kyrgyz Culture festival was held in the Emirate of Sharjah with the participation of students of the Eastern University named after Mahmud Kashgari-Barskani. The festival was held at the invitation of the Chairman of the Sharjah Heritage Institute, Mr. Abdul Aziz Al Musallam.

From November 29 to December 4, 2017, at the initiative of the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in the United Arab Emirates and with the support from the Ministry of Culture and Knowledge Development of the United Arab Emirates, the folklore groups of the Kyrgyz Republic took part in the celebrations of the 46th anniversary of the National Day of the United Arab Emirates. The groups from the Kyrgyz Republic performed in all seven UAE emirates. Artisans and artists, who also participated in the events, presented the life and culture of the Kyrgyz people to the general UAE public.

On March 22-24, 2018, the Consulate General of the Kyrgyz Republic in Dubai together with the Kyrgyz diaspora took part in the international festival "Fashunity Exhibition-2018" held at the Al Mamzar park of the Emirate of Dubai. The event was attended by representatives from 14 countries and 9 organizations. According to the results of the festival competition, Kyrgyzstan’s pavilion took the second place.

 On May 8, 2018, representatives of the business community of the Southern Department of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic met with partners from the UAE. A presentation of the Third World Nomad Games was held, accompanied by folklore music performed on the komuz, ancient Kyrgyz stringed musical instrument. The event was organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Emirate of Sharjah.

On June 23-24, 2018, the International Mental Arithmetic Olympiad was held in Dubai. The event was attended by teams from the CIS countries and Europe. Many children from Kyrgyzstan took part in the Olympiad, and they took the leading places.

On September 2-3, 2018, Executive Director of the Dubai Investment Corporation H.E. Mr. Muhammed Al-Shaibani visited the Kyrgyz Republic and attended the opening ceremony of the Third World Nomad Games. During his visit, H.E. Mr. Muhammed Al-Shaibani met with Deputy Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Jenish Razakov to discuss issues of mutual interest.

On December 19, 2018, on the New Year eve, a meeting of compatriots in the UAE was held in the Zabeel recreation and culture park in Dubai. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic H.E. Mr. Chyngyz Aidarbekov, who was on an official visit to the United Arab Emirates, took part in the event. During the meeting, national sports and entertainment competitions and musical performances were held. Guests were also offered national dishes, treats, and drinks.

In the September issue # 77of the Business Emirates magazine, popular in the UAE, an exclusive interview “Come to the World Nomad Games!” of Consul General of the Kyrgyz Republic Mr. Aibek Mamatbekov was published.  The Consul General shared information on the development of bilateral trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian relations of the Kyrgyz Republic with the UAE, tourism potential, conducting the Third World Nomad Games in the Kyrgyz Republic, working with the Kyrgyz diaspora in the UAE, etc.

The Consulate General carried out work, on an ongoing basis, with foreigners and citizens of the host country to bring relevant information about tourism in the Kyrgyz Republic, its attractions, tourism and investment potential, as well as about the country as a whole. The Consulate General also distributes printed materials about tourism in the Kyrgyz Republic (booklets, brochures, magazines, etc.) among foreigners and citizens of the host country.
