President Sadyr Japarov met with the President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan

Today, on October 31, President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov met with the President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Abu Dhabi.

The heads of state discussed the prospects for developing cooperation between the countries, issues of enhancing cooperation in trade, economic, educational, humanitarian, investment and other areas of mutual interest.

UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan warmly welcomed President Sadyr Japarov, expressing confidence that his visit would be fruitful and successful, and the signing of a number of bilateral documents would help strengthen relations between countries in all areas of mutually beneficial cooperation.

The UAE President expressed interest in cooperation with Kyrgyzstan, proposing to intensify joint work to increase the volume of trade, adding that the documents signed today will also contribute to this.

Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan noted that the countries have great opportunities in the field of trade and economic cooperation and assured that the Emirati side is ready to increase joint cooperation with Kyrgyzstan.

In turn, President Sadyr Japarov stressed that relations between Kyrgyzstan and the UAE are based on mutual trust and friendship, and peoples are united by historical and spiritual ties.

He noted that the two countries do not have any contradictions in the international arena, adding that the UAE is the main trading partner of Kyrgyzstan in the Middle East and the Gulf region.

Sadyr Japarov, pointing to the annual growth in the volume of trade between the two countries, which for 8 months of this year amounted to 69 million US dollars, stressed that the parties can improve this positive trend in the coming years.

He also noted other positive indicators in trade and economic relations - this year, exports of environmentally friendly meat products and drinking water to the UAE have begun, in the near future it is planned to open direct flights between the cities of Dubai and Osh, and the tourism sector is noticeably developing.

President Sadyr Japarov invited Emirati investors to jointly implement projects to create a regional air hub in Kyrgyzstan, as well as projects in the field of hydropower. He also spoke about the tourism opportunities of Kyrgyzstan.

Sadyr Japarov invited Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to visit Kyrgyzstan at any time convenient for him.

The leaders of the countries agreed to continue an active political dialogue at the highest level to deepen cooperation in all areas of the joint agenda.
