In the framework of the Agreement between the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, signed on April 26, 2009 in Bishkek on mutual recognition of touristic visas issued for citizens of third countries within the territories bordering with the Republic of Kazakhstan (Issyk-Kul, Talas, Chui regions of the Kyrgyz Republic) and the regions of (Almaty and Zhambyl of the Republic of Kazakhstan) bordering with the Kyrgyz Republic:

Citizens of the following countries, in accordance with the national legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Kazakhstan, have the right, during the terms of visa, to enter and exit freely through multilateral checkpoints on the territory of the above-mentioned border areas of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Kazakhstan. At the same time, tourist visas issued by the countries - parties of the mentioned Agreement should be at least double, which will allow a foreign citizen to enter and leave both the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic and the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
