On April 8, 2021, the Forum "Covid 19 - Global Outlook and the way forward " was held

The forum was attended by the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic in India Asein Isaev, President of the Indian Economic Trade Organization (IETO) Asif Iqbal, Rector of Urdu University named after M. Azad in Hyderabad F. Ahmed, member of the Royal Family of Jaipur M. Singh, representatives of the diplomatic corpus of Delhi , directors of IETO departments, representatives of leading companies and enterprises in India, as well as representatives of scientific and academic circles in India.

During the forum, an active exchange of views took place on the issues of overcoming the consequences of the coronavirus pandemic. Particular attention was paid to the further development of trade and economic ties between the Kyrgyz Republic and India in the context of the COVID 19 pandemic. Despite the restrictions due to COVID 19, representatives of the Indian business community expressed their readiness to strengthen trade and economic cooperation with the Kyrgyz Republic by organizing visits of Indian business delegations to the Kyrgyz Republic.

The participants of the event emphasized the importance of establishing an effective mechanism for the exchange of experience in the fight against COVID 19, including the results of studying the nature of the origin of COVID-19 and the forms of its manifestations, as well as the development of methods for their treatment and prevention.

Ambassador Asein Isaev informed participants in detail about the measures taken by the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic to combat COVID 19 and its consequences. He noted the importance of close interaction in overcoming the socio-economic consequences of the pandemic. He emphasized the particular relevance of further strengthening trade and economic ties by all available means, including through holding events in a virtual format, which also prove to be effective. In light of the need to continue work on building up scientific and production potential in the field of pharmaceuticals, he proposed to strengthen work in the sector of creating joint ventures for the production of pharmaceutical products in the Kyrgyz Republic.
