On 5 August, 2019 the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Republic of Kazakhstan Zh.Kulubaev has met with the Vice Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan R.Bigari.

During the meeting, the issues of enhancing cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and Kazakhstan in the field of education and science were discussed, including within the framework of the implementation of the Protocol of the 8th meeting of the Kyrgyz-Kazakh Intergovernmental Council (July 12, 2019, Bishkek).

The vice-Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan R.Bigari, in his turn, expressed the willingness of the Kazakh side to intensify cooperation with the Kyrgyz Republic in the field of education and science, and informed about scholarship educational programs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The parties also exchanged views on strengthening the legal framework between the Kyrgyz Republic and Kazakhstan in the field of education. In this regard, the Kyrgyz side has requested the Kazakh side to accelerate the consideration of the issue of increasing the allocated quotas from 5 to 10 places under the Protocol on Amendments to the existing Agreement between the Governments of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Kazakhstan on cooperation in the field of education dated July 4, 2006.
