Citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic residing in the territory of the Republic of Korea who wish to renounce citizenship of the Kyrgyz Republic must submit the following documents:

1. A written appeal of the applicant to the Consular Department of the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Republic of Korea about the intention to renounce the citizenship of the Kyrgyz Republic, indicating the reason for renouncing citizenship. Download;
2. Application form addressed to the President of the Kyrgyz Republic (in 3 copies) Download;
3. Original passport of a citizen of the Kyrgyz Republic + (3 copies);
4. Confirmation of the possibility of granting Korean citizenship to the applicant in case of renunciation of Kyrgyz citizenship with translation into Kyrgyz or Russian and Apostille (original and 2 copies);
5. Original birth certificate + (3 copies);
6. Original and copies of the marriage certificate, certificate of divorce, death of the spouse (spouse) deceased or missing - in appropriate cases, with translation into Kyrgyz or Russian and Apostille (original and 2 copies);
7. Document of the tax authority of the Kyrgyz Republic (at the last place of residence on the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic) on the absence of tax arrears (original and 2 copies);
8. Four 4x6 cm color photos on a white background;
9. Autobiography (written in any form in 3 copies);
10. Personal declaration of the absence of unfulfilled obligations (alimony, property and others) to citizens and legal entities of the Kyrgyz Republic (in 3 copies) Download;
11. The original receipt for payment of consular fees in the amount of USD 510 to the following bank account of the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Republic of Korea. Payment for consular services should be made only at the bank (KEB Hana Bank). Internet banking or ATM transfer is not possible.

If the applicant has a spouse of a citizen of the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as persons dependent on him and who were citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic, he must submit a written statement on their attitude to the applicant's renunciation of citizenship of the Kyrgyz Republic.

If the applicant simultaneously applies for renunciation of citizenship of the Kyrgyz Republic of his minor children, the following documents must be submitted:

1. Original and copy of birth certificate, establishment of guardianship, deprivation of parental rights (in 3 copies);
2. Written consent of the parties to terminate or retain the citizenship of the child, if one of the parents or guardians remains a citizen of the Kyrgyz Republic, notarized (in 3 copies);
3. Written consent of children aged 14 to 18 years to change citizenship, notarized or certified by a consular institution of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Republic of Korea (in 3 copies).
4. The original receipt for payment of consular fees in the amount of 510 US dollars to the following bank account of the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Republic of Korea. Payment for consular services should be made only at the bank (KEB Hana Bank). Internet banking or ATM transfer is not possible.

• Persons who have reached the age of majority (18 years) apply for renunciation of citizenship of the Kyrgyz Republic independently.
• The application must be signed personally by the applicant, indicating the date of compilation.
• Documents in a foreign language must be translated into Kyrgyz or Russian and apostilled/legalized;
• Applications are accepted only if all the above documents are available and are considered accepted for consideration from the date of submission by the applicant of all necessary documents. The submission of false documents by the applicant or the communication of deliberately false information is the basis for refusal to accept the application.
• The term of consideration of the application is not less than 1 year.
• In case of dissatisfaction with the application, the consular fee is not refunded to the applicant. The application is submitted personally by the applicant.
