China and Kyrgyzstan are friendly neighbors and strategic partners. For more than 30 years, China-Kyrgyz relations have maintained the momentum of development. Last May, President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov paid his first state visit to China and participated in the China-Central Asia Summit. Chinese President Xi Jinping held an important meeting with him, confirmed the aspiration to build a community of common destiny between China and Kyrgyzstan in the spirit of good neighborliness, friendship and shared prosperity, and brought China-Kyrgyz relations to the level of comprehensive strategic partnership in the new era.
