On 14th March, 2019, on the occasion of the spring holiday Nooruz a festive event was organized at the University of Culture of the Istanbul, jointly organized by the Consulate General of the Kyrgyz Republic in Istanbul and the Kyrgyz Society of Friendship and Culture.

At the university site there was installed Kyrgyz yurt with national decorations, cooked a symbol of the holiday “Nooruz” - “Sumolek”, and played a concert with the participation of artists of the Kyrgyz Republic Upelkhan Seilbekova, Erlan Gendarbay, dance groups, etc.

In his speech, Consul Z. Rysaliyev congratulated everyone, expressed his gratitude to the university management for their assistance and in providing a unique opportunity to present rich Kyrgyz culture and nomadic life to students, visitors and guests of the University of Culture of the Istanbul.

The event was attended by the rector of the University Prof. Dr. Erhan Guzel, Consul of the Consulate General of the Kyrgyz Republic in Istanbul Zamanbek Rysaliyev, members of the diaspora, university staff, students, etc., where everyone was offered to taste national cuisine.
