On March 22, 2022, Permanent Representative of the Kyrgyz Republic to the UN Aida Kasymalieva met with the UN Under-Secretary-General for Political and Peacebuilding Affairs Rosemary A. DiCarlo.

During the meeting, the parties discussed topical issues of cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and the UN in various fields, exchanged views on the international and regional agenda.

Aida Kasymalieva emphasized the central and coordinating role of the UN in maintaining peace and security, strengthening friendship between countries, and addressing global socio-economic issues and challenges. In addition, the Kyrgyz side informed about initiatives within the UN, on climate change, the mountain agenda and regional cooperation in the context of the initiative of the Head of State to organize the UN-Central Asia Summit.

Rosemary A. DiCarlo, in turn, noted that the UN attaches great importance to cooperation with the Kyrgyz Republic and welcomed initiatives to strengthen regional cooperation.
