On May 29, 2019 diplomatic relations were established between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Plurinational State of Bolivia. The Joint Communique on the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations was signed in New York by the Permanent Representative of the Kyrgyz Republic to the UN Mirgul Moldoisaeva and the Permanent Representative of the Plurinational State of Bolivia to the UN Sacha Llorentti Soliz.

The text of the Joint Communiqué notes that the States have established diplomatic relations guided by the principles and purposes of the United Nations Charter and international law, particularly the respect and promotion of international peace and security, equality among States, due respect for national sovereignty and territorial integrity, independence, international treaties and non-interference in the internal affairs of States.

After the signing ceremony of the Joint Communiqué, the parties expressed a mutual intention to develop relations of friendship and cooperation between the States within the framework of the UN and other international organizations, and also support each other’s candidatures to international bodies of the UN.
