Permanent Representative of the Kyrgyz Republic to the UN Mirgul Moldoisaeva took part in side-event on poverty eradication in UN Headquarters

On October 31, 2019 Permanent Representative of the Kyrgyz Republic to the UN Mirgul Moldoisaeva took part as one of key panelists in the event Renewing Efforts to Address Rural Poverty to Meet SDG 1 by 2030 arranged by Food and Agriculuture Organization and International Fund for Agriculture Development. 
In addition, Under-Secretary-General for the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs Liu Zhenmin, FAO Assistant Director General Maximo Torrero, Director for Sustainable Production, International Fund for Agricultural Development Thouraya Triki and Deputy Permanent Representative of China to UN Xu Zhongsheng took part in the side-event.
In her statement Permanent Representative Mirgul Moldoisaeva mentioned the work of Government of the Kyrgyz Republic on eradication of poverty among rural population in framework of adopted national strategies, plans and programs such as National Strategy of Kyrgyz Republic Development for the period 2018-2040, Concept of Regional Policy for 2018-2022, Decree of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sooronbai Zheenbekov On Announcement 2019 as the Year of Regional Development and Digitalization of the Country. 
Permanent Representative Mirgul Moldoisaeva informed about Kyrgyzstan’s contribution to development of cooperation on implementation of Sustainable Development Goals. She underlined the role of Kyrgyzstan in promotion of cooperation in framework of realization of principles of sustainable mountain development. Particularly she informed on initiative of Kyrgyzstan to establish Group of Friends of Mountainous Countries in the UN Headquarters in New York and beginning of work on draft resolution Sustainable Mountain Development together with Italy.
