Kyrgyz-Norwegian relations

The legal base of relations is formed by the Document on the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Kyrgyzstan and Norway dated June 26, 1992 and the Joint Statement on the further development of friendly relations and cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Kingdom of Norway.

On March 15, 2022, the Ambassador of Norway to the Kyrgyz Republic with residence in Oslo, John Mikal Kvistand, presented his credentials to the President of the Kyrgyz Republic.

In November 2003 the official visit of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic took place.

From October 29 to November 1, 2002, the Norwegian delegation headed by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs took part in the "Mountain Summit".

On September 20, 2010 in New York during the participation in the work of the 65th Session of the UN General Assembly, on the initiative of the Kyrgyz side, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Norway.

On April 16-19, 2013, a delegation of the Center for Peace and Human Rights in Oslo, headed by the co-founder of the Center I. Stinsnes, visited the Kyrgyz Republic.

On April 28, 2013, on the sidelines of the 7th Ministerial Conference of the "Community of Democracies", in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Norway.

At the invitation of the Norwegian side, from May 22 to May 25, 2013, a delegation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, headed by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, took part in the Global Conference on Citizen Support on May 23-24, 2013 in Oslo.

On December 8, 2016, within the framework of the OSCE Summit in Hamburg, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Norway.

On September 24, 2018, within the framework of the 73rd UN General Assembly in New York, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Norway.

On January 15, 2019, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic paid an official visit to Norway.

In September 2019, on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Norway.

On September 12, 2019, the Special Envoy of the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs visited the Kyrgyz Republic.

On November 6, 2019, inter-MFA consultations were held between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Kingdom of Norway.
