On March 1, 2023, in Berlin, the Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to Germany Mr. Omurbek Tekebaev took part in an international business forum organized by the German Federal Union of Small and Medium Businesses.

At the event, the Embassy presented the investment and tourism potential of the Kyrgyz Republic. Negotiations were held with German companies that were interested in establishing cooperation in the field of personnel employment in Germany, the textile industry, as well as organizing training platforms.

More than 5 thousand people took part in the international business forum, including representatives of small and medium-sized businesses in Germany, as well as representatives of politics, society, the diplomatic corps and academia. The program of the event also included high-level panel discussions and roundtables that discussed issues in the field of energy, inflation, supply chains, digitalization, as well as the shortage of workers and qualified personnel for German enterprises.

For information: Small and medium-sized businesses in Germany make up 99% of the German economy. Companies with up to 49 employees and an annual turnover of up to 10 million euros are classified as small businesses. The medium business category includes companies with up to 249 employees and an annual turnover of up to 50 million euros.
