16 September 2020 in Berlin at the Bellevue Palace the Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to Germany HE Mr. Erlan Abdyldaev presented his credentials to the Federal President of Germany HE Mr. Frank-Walter Steinmeier.

During the conversation that took place after the solemn ceremony the Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic HE Mr. Erlan Abdyldaev conveyed to the President of the Federal Republic of Germany HE Mr. Frank-Walter Steinmeier the words of greetings and gratitude of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic HE Mr. Sooronbai Jeenbekov for the support provided by the German side to Kyrgyzstan, including in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, and also informed about the current socio-economic situation and preparation for the next elections to the Jogorku Kenesh (Parliament) of the Kyrgyz Republic on 4 October 2020.

The President of Germany HE Mr. Frank-Walter Steinmeier and the Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic HE Mr. Erlan Abdyldaev discussed the issues of strengthening the Kyrgyz-German cooperation in various fields. It was noted with satisfaction that the relations between the two countries have a solid foundation and are progressively developing, impulse to which was given by the official visit of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic HE Mr. Sooronbai Jeenbekov in April 2019 to Germany.

The parties stressed the importance of implementing effective and concrete projects within the framework of the new initiative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany "Green Central Asia".

In conclusion, the national flag of the Kyrgyz Republic was raised in a solemn atmosphere at the residence of the Federal President of Germany in the Bellevue Palace.

From the German side, the head of the Department for International Affairs of the Office of the Federal President of the Federal Republic of Germany esteemed Mr. Thomas Bagger and State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany HE Mr. Miguel Berger took part in this event.
