In connection with the elections of the head of the Administration of Taiwan on January 13, 2024, the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in the People's Republic of China notes that the Kyrgyz side confirms its commitment to the One-China principle and that the Government of the People's Republic of China is the only legitimate government representing the whole of China, as well as its position that Taiwan is an integral part of the territory of China.

The Kyrgyz side opposes attempts to use the Taiwan issue to interfere in China's internal affairs.
