30 years of Kyrgyz-Indian relations: A gala concert of Kyrgyz artists was held in New Delhi

October 12 this year in New Delhi, a gala concert of the folklore and ethnographic ensemble "Kambarkan" and the state dance ensemble "Ak Maral", dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of India, took place.

The Guests of Honour of the event were the President of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), Member of the Indian Parliament Dr.Vinay Sahasrabuddhe, as well as the Minister of State for External Affairs of India Mr.Raj Kumar Ranjan Singh. The event was also attended by the Director General of the Council Mr.Kumar Tuhin, representatives of government agencies, business circles, the business community, as well as the diplomatic corps accredited in New Delhi, cultural figures and citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic living in India.

The official part of the event began with the performance of the national anthems of both countries, as well as speeches by the Guests of Honour and the Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to India.

In his speech, Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to India Asein Isaev noted the results of Kyrgyz-Indian relations over 30 years of development, as well as future plans. Minister State for External Affairs R.R. Singh, in turn, stressed that over 30 years of diplomatic relations between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of India there is a deep mutual understanding that allows developing fruitful cooperation in all areas of interaction.

Then at the evening the works of such outstanding folk composers as Toktogul, Karamoldo, Ybyray and others were performed by the folklore-ethnographic ensemble "Kambarkan".

The soloists of the evening were People's Artist of the Kyrgyz Republic Salamat Sadykova, as well as Kunduz Tashtanalieva and Askat Musabekov, who performed such popular works as "Kyrgyz Zheri", "Baram Saga", "Esindebi" and others.

The State Dance Ensemble "Ak Maral" presented Kyrgyz folk dances, which were greeted by the audience with thunderous applause.

The concert aroused the enthusiastic interest of the public and gave the audience an unforgettable evening of Kyrgyz music and dance.
