On January 29, 2020 the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Republic of Kazakhstan Zh.Kulubaev, met with the Director, member of the Board of Directors of Nurbank JSC Ulf Wokurka and the representative of the German company "Schneider Group" in the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kirill Afanasyev, who provides assistance to foreign companies in promoting business in Kazakhstan.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the proposals of U.Wokurkf on the possible creation of the Central Asian Development Bank on the basis of the Astana International Financial Center to support representatives of small and medium-sized businesses in Central Asia. The bank may be established with the assistance of the EBRD and other international financial institutions.

Ambassador Zh.Kulubaev noted that supporting small and medium enterprises is a priority for the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic. He expressed an opinion on the possibility of considering the above initiative during the meeting of the First EU-CA Economic Forum, which will be held in July of 2020 in Bishkek.
