During the meeting, Ambassador Mrs. A. Ismailova noted that the Kyrgyz Republic gives priority to issues of ecology, environmental protection and climate change. Taking into account the advanced experience of the Republic of Korea in the field of “green development”, she emphasized the interest of the Kyrgyz side in implementing various projects in the field of construction of small hydroelectric power stations, solar stations, smart waste management, introduction of electric vehicles, etc.

The Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic in Korea, in order to strengthen cooperation in the field of environmental protection, ecology and climate change, expressed the interest of the Kyrgyz side in organizing a visit of the Minister of Environment of the Republic of Korea to the Kyrgyz Republic.

Minister of Environment of the Republic of Korea Mrs. Han Hwa-jin, in turn, noted the interest of the Korean side in developing Kyrgyz-Korean cooperation in the field of ecology and environmental protection through the implementation of projects in the field of ecology.

In addition, the Parties discussed the possibility of implementing projects to create a smart irrigation system and introduce a disaster warning system in the Kyrgyz Republic.

At the end of the meeting, Minister Han Wah-Jin expressed her readiness to visit the Kyrgyz Republic in the near future in order to discuss further cooperation in detail.
