On January 13, 2023, the Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Republic of Türkiye Ruslan Kazakbaev met with the Head of the Uchisar district of Nevsehir province of Turkey Osman Suslu.

During the meeting, the parties expressed mutual interest in further deepening twinning relations between the regions of the two countries, in particular between the sister cities of Karakol and Uchisar.

In addition, the Turkish side informed about the planned start of construction of a kindergarten in the city of Karakol at the expense of the budgetary funds of Uchisar.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to jointly organize a business forum with the participation of travel companies of Kyrgyzstan and Turkey in Bishkek.

For reference: on July 2, 2022, a protocol on the establishment of sister city relations was signed between the cities of Karakol and Uchisar.
