On July 6 of this year, in accordance with the instruction of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic S.N. Zhaparov, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Turkish Republic to the Kyrgyz Republic A. Dogan was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The head of the Turkish diplomatic mission was presented with a note in connection with the operation by the Turkish side of the arrest and delivery of a citizen of the Kyrgyz Republic O. Inandı  to the Republic of Turkey.

The Kyrgyz side pointed out the inadmissibility of such actions, which grossly violate the basic principles and norms of international law, including in the field of respect for human rights and freedoms, enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights.

The Kyrgyz side called on the Turkish side to return O. Inandı to the Kyrgyz Republic and to take all necessary measures to ensure proper treatment with him and prevent the use of violent and degrading actions against him in accordance with the norms of international law.

In turn, Ambassador A. Dogan stressed that O. Inandı is a citizen of the Republic of Turkey and is recognized exclusively as a citizen of Turkey. At the same time, he noted that the Turkish side had not announced the conduct of the said operation on the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic will make every effort to return O. Inandı to the Kyrgyz Republic and to protect his rights and legitimate interests as a citizen of the Kyrgyz Republic in accordance with the Constitution of the Kyrgyz Republic and the norms of international law.
