On September 1-2, 2021, Mr. Kurmanbek Zulushev Prosecutor General of the Kyrgyz Republic and his accompanying delegation  upon the invitation of the Chairman of the Supreme Court of Cassation Mehmet Akarzha, with the participation of the President of the Republic of Turkey R.T. Erdogan, took part in an official event on the occasion of the opening of a new building of the Supreme Court of Cassation of the Republic of Turkey in the city of Ankara.

During the visit to Turkey, Prosecutor General K.T. Zulushev made a presentation at the international symposium of justice in the Republic of Turkey and spoke about ongoing and upcoming reforms in the system of prosecution authorities of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The conference was attended by the chairmen of the Supreme Courts and Prosecutors General of Azerbaijan, Albania, Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kazakhstan, Macedonia, Uzbekistan, Qatar, and other states.

Also, the Prosecutor General of the Kyrgyz Republic held a number of bilateral meetings with the Chairman of the Supreme Court of Cassation of Turkey M.Akarzha, as well as with the Prosecutor General B.Shahin. During the meetings, the parties drew attention to the strengthening and expansion of bilateral cooperation, including the exchange of experience and best practices in the field of criminal justice, as well as in key areas of prosecutorial activity.

In addition, issues were raised on the resumption of short-term training courses for employees of the prosecutor's office of the Kyrgyz Republic on the basis of educational institutions of the prosecutor's office and the Turkish Academy of Justice.
