On October 8, 2021, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Republic of Turkey Kubanychbek Omuraliev met with the Governor of Bursa Province Yakup Janbolat. The parties discussed issues of cooperation between the regions of the two countries, as well as the protection of the rights and interests of Kyrgyz citizens staying in the province of Bursa.

During the meeting, Ambassador K. Omuraliev introduced Consul General of the Kyrgyz Republic L. Sydykova and the newly appointed  Honorary Consul of the Kyrgyz Republic in the province of Bursa B. Tutush.

During the visit, Ambassador K. Omuraliev met with the Mayor of Bursa Alinur Aktash. The Ambassador congratulated the Mayor on the selection of Bursa as the cultural capital of the Turkic world in 2022. 

As part of the development and bilateral trade and economic cooperation, the parties noted the need to establish twinning relationship between the city of Bursa and one of the cities of Kyrgyzstan. To strengthen fraternal ties, an agreement was reached to open a park in the city of Bursa.
