President of the Kyrgyz Republic H.E. Mr. Sadyr Japarov met with representatives of the big business of Turkey

On November 11, the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov, met with representatives of the big business of Turkey in Istanbul, Turkey, within the framework of participation in the Summit of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-speaking States (CCTS).

During the meeting, the Head of State noted that about 300 companies with Turkish capital operate in Kyrgyzstan in various fields, in which more than 5,000 Kyrgyz people work.

The President expressed confidence that many more successful business projects will be implemented between Kyrgyzstan and Turkey and called on Turkish businessmen to actively invest in Kyrgyzstan.

Sadyr Japarov informed regarding measures to support and protect the rights of investors, create favorable conditions for foreign businessmen and assist in the implementation of their initiatives and projects.

The head of state stressed that in increasing the volume of trade between the countries, an important role is assigned to the business, which is the main driver of trade and economic relations between the two countries.

President Sadyr Japarov noted that Kyrgyzstan, which has great investment potential, can and is ready to become a "window" for Turkish investors to enter the markets of the Eurasian Economic Union, China, and other neighboring states.

He expressed hope that today's event will open broad prospects for the development of fruitful business contacts.

The head of state expressed interest in attracting investments, advanced technologies, and management of Turkish companies in the development of the Kyrgyz economy.

“We are taking decisive measures to attract investors, to create an open business and investment climate. This is one of the most important priorities of the Kyrgyz Republic” said President Sadyr Japarov.

In turn, Aydin Mistachoglu, Chairman of the Board of Management, co-chairman of the Kyrgyz-Turkish Business Council under the Foreign Economic Relations Council of Turkey, said that the meeting is attended by representatives of big Turkish companies.

He expressed gratitude to President Sadyr Japarov for the conditions created in Kyrgyzstan for foreign investors.

According to Aydin Mistachoglu, this year the trade turnover between Kyrgyzstan and Turkey has increased compared to 2020. However, as he believes, Kyrgyzstan and Turkey have a greater potential for cooperation in the economy and the existing volume of trade does not meet the level that may be.

“We intend to do our bit in bringing the trade turnover between our countries to a new level” assured the Chairman of the Board, Co-Chairman of the Kyrgyz-Turkish Business Council under the Foreign Economic Relations Council of Turkey.

The meeting with President Sadyr Japarov was attended by representatives of big Turkish companies in the field of subsoil use, construction, energy, information technology, light industry, as well as healthcare and education.
