On December 14, 2021, as part of a working visit to the Konya province, Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev met with the Presidents of the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Konya Mr. Selcuk Ozturk and Mr. Memis Kutukcu.

During the meetings, Ambassador Omuraliev informed the Konya business community regarding the investment potential and conditions for doing business in Kyrgyzstan, incl. low taxes in the region, free movement of capital and hydropower potential. Ambassador also noted the possibility of duty-free export of products manufactured in the Kyrgyz Republic to the markets of the EAEU countries, as well as 6200 and 3500 items of goods to the EU and the United States under the GSP + and GSP programs, respectively.

Considering that Konya is a leading province for the production and processing of agricultural crops, as well as the production of agricultural machinery, Ambassador Omuraliev urged Konya entrepreneurs to invest and open production in Kyrgyzstan.

In order to implement the agreements, the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Konya invited a delegation of Kyrgyz businessmen to attend the agricultural exhibition "Konya Tarım" on March 8-12, 2022, in Konya, which is one of the main exhibitions in Europe. During the upcoming visit of Kyrgyz entrepreneurs to Konya, it is being planned to hold B2B meetings and visit factories and plants.
