As part of the visit to Konya, on December 14, 2021, Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev met with citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic living in the city. On the initiative of the Embassy, Director of the Konya Provincial Directorate of Migration Zeki Afsin Buzcu took part in the meeting.

In the meeting Ambassador Mr. Omuraliev informed the citizens of Kyrgyzstan about the measures taken by the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic and Embassy regarding the protection of citizens, as well as about the meeting with Governor of Konya Province Vahdettin Ozkan and answered all their questions.

During the meeting with the Director of the Konya Provincial Directorate of Migration Mr. Buzcu, issues of protecting the rights and interests of citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic in Turkey and the rights and obligations of foreign citizens residing in Turkey were discussed. Turkish side provided answers to numerous questions from citizens of Kyrgyzstan, including regarding the procedure for obtaining a residence permit and work permit.

Ambassador Mr. Omuraliev expressed his support for the initiative of citizens to establish an official Kyrgyz diaspora in the province and expressed readiness to assist in the issue of its official registration.
