On July 29, 2021, Permanent Representative of the Kyrgyz Republic to the United Nation in New York Mirgul Moldoisaeva spoke at the Plenary session of the UN General Assembly on the Secretary General's report on the Peacebuilding Fund and the report of the Peacebuilding Commission.

During her speech, the Permanent Representative of Kyrgyz Republic emphasized that Kyrgyzstan pays great attention to cooperation with the Peacebuilding Fund, which has realized the projects over the past 10 years, which have contributed to strengthening national unity, expanding women’s and youth’s opportunities, as well as the country's opportunity to prevent violent extremism.

Permanent Representative M.Moldoisaeva expressed her gratitude to the UN Secretary-General for the decision to continue providing support to projects in Kyrgyzstan from the Fund for the next five years. In this context, the Kyrgyz side stressed the need to focus on the socio-economic aspect, as well as education and cultural and humanitarian cooperation during the implementation of the next phase of projects in the country.
