Permanent Representative of the Kyrgyz Republic to the UN Mirgul Moldoisaeva took part in the High-level event “Development of Cooperation with middle-income countries”, which took place on 11 December 2018. The main objective of this event was the discussion of problems and challenges the middle-income countries has been facing in the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and elaboration of ways to overcome them with the assistance of UN Development System, international financial institutions, regional organizations and other stakeholders.

During the official part of the event President of the 73rd session of the UN General Assembly Maria Garces expressed gratitude to Permanent Representatives of Kyrgyzstan and Norway for their contribution to organization of this event. 

During her statement Permanent Representative of the Kyrgyz Republic Mirgul Moldoisaeva mentioned Kyrgyzstan’s commitment to implementation of SDG and informed about the implementation of Sustainable Development National Strategy till 2040. Also the Permanent Representative of the Kyrgyz Republic Mirgul Moldoisaeva underlined importance of regional organizations’ contribution in the implementation of SDGs such as Eurasian Economic Union.

This event was the result of work conducted by Permanent Representatives of Kyrgyzstan and Norway who had been elected by the President of 72nd session of UN General Assembly Miroslav Lajčák for the promotion of interaction with the middle-income countries.
