The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Aibek Artykbaev and Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Arab Republic of Egypt for Asian Affairs Ayman Ali Kamel held the first political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Arab Republic of Egypt

On December 7, 2021, in Cairo Mr. Aibek Artykbaev, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, and Mr. Ayman Ali Kamel, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Arab Republic of Egypt for Asian Affairs, held the first political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Arab Republic of Egypt.

During the discussions, the parties emphasized the need to develop bilateral political dialogue by carrying out mutual visits of representatives of relevant ministries and agencies, addressed the issues regarding opening diplomatic missions in the capitals of the two states and expressed hope for further intensification of the entire set of relations between the countries.

In order to expand legal basis, the parties discussed drafts of the bilateral documents in the field of tourism, education, medicine, agriculture, trade, investment and visa-free travel for holders of diplomatic and service passports.

In honour of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, the parties agreed to jointly conduct Cultural Days and relevant events in 2022.

Attention was also focused on the development of interaction in the field of education by resuming work with the Egyptian Fund for Technical Cooperation (EFTC), in order to train Kyrgyz government officials, and teaching students from the Arab Republic of Egypt in higher medical educational institutions of the Kyrgyz Republic, which are internationally recognized.

The importance of gaining the status of a "dialogue partner" by the Arab Republic of Egypt within the SCO, which is an effective platform for discussing topical issues of the international and regional agenda.

At the same time, the parties agreed on mutual support within the framework of electoral processes to the UN bodies and other international organizations, such as UNESCO and the International Civil Defense Organization (ICDO).

In addition, the parties exchanged views on the protection of the rights and interests of citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic, residing in Egypt, assistance by the Egyptian side in providing consular services and simplifying the procedure for obtaining permits.

In result of consultations, the parties confirmed their mutual desire to deepen partnership and diversify bilateral ties.
