On July 20, 2022, the Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Saudi Arabia Ulukbek Maripov met with the Minister of Environment, Water Resources and Agriculture of the KSA, Abdurakhman bin Abdulmohsen Al-Fadli, who is also the co-chair of the Kyrgyz-Saudi IGC.

Issues on holding the Second Kyrgyz-Saudi Business Forum in Bishkek and the next meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission in Riyadh were discussed at the meeting.

Ambassador U. Maripov noted the interest of the Kyrgyz side in developing cooperation by organizing visits of business delegations and holding various events aimed at developing trade relations between the two countries, and also focused on the need for the early opening of direct regular flights between the Kyrgyz Republic and the KSA, which contributes to an increase in the flow tourists, increase the export of domestic products to the KSA and increase the volume of trade.

Following the meeting, Ambassador U. Maripov presented the Director General of the Department of International Cooperation and Foreign Investments of the Ministry of Environment, Water Resources and Agriculture of the KSA, Mr. Abdulaziz Al-Khuweish, with a letter of thanks for his assistance in the successful holding of the fair-exhibition and the first meeting of the Kyrgyz-Saudi business forum in Riyadh in February 2022.
