During the working visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain, on May 30, 2023, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Kingdom of Bahrain with residence in Riyadh Ulukbek Maripov met with the Director of the Department of Asia and Africa countries of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bahrain, Ambassador Fatima Abdullah Fares Aldhan.

The parties noted with satisfaction the results of the official visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Zh.Kulubaev to Bahrain last year and expressed their intention to continue the practical implementation of a number of agreements reached during the visit.

Positively noting the growing dynamics of Kyrgyz-Bahraini relations both in bilateral and multilateral interaction formats, the parties discussed the current state of the entire spectrum of cooperation between the two countries, as well as prospects for their further development.

Special attention was paid to the issues of intensifying political contacts by organizing mutual visits at the highest and high levels, developing trade, economic, investment, cultural and humanitarian cooperation, as well as expanding the bilateral legal framework.

Concerning the aspects of interaction between the two countries within the framework of international organizations, the parties reaffirmed their mutual desire to strengthen partnership and diversify bilateral ties, continuing close cooperation to provide support within the framework of the UN, OIC, SCO and other international organizations.

Ambassador U.Maripov expressed the firm intention of the Kyrgyz Republic to further develop consistent cooperation with the Kingdom of Bahrain in all areas of mutual interest.

In turn, Director F.Aldhan assured about the intention of the leadership of the Kingdom of Bahrain to further build up and strengthen traditionally friendly relations and fruitful interaction with the Kyrgyz Republic.

Following the meeting, the parties outlined further steps to promote draft agreements in various fields, which are planned to be signed during the upcoming visits at the highest level.
