For the purposes of conserving historical memory and to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945, we present to your attention the rubric «Memorials built in Kyrgyzstan dedicated to the Great Patriotic War»
Mass grave with an obelisk of the Red Guards who fell in the struggle for Soviet power and the «Eternal Flame» in memory of those who fell in the Great Patriotic War.
In November 1957, the monument was reconstructed by the architect I. Lublinsky. Now it is an 11-meter-high obelisk made of red polished granite, ending with a sickle and hammer framed by a bronze wreath. At the corners of the pedestal on gun mounts are gun trunks cast from bronze. The names of 43 dead Red Guards of the First Pishpek Regiment are engraved on granite slabs. The inscription reads: «Eternal glory to the dead for the power of the Soviets».
