The Kyrgyz Republic has significant tourism resources and has great potential for the development of tourism, both domestic and international.

One of our main assets is the high - mountain lake Issyk-Kul - the "pearl of Central Asia" with magnificent sandy beaches, crystal clear water, mineral springs and the possibility of developing sailing. The unique natural conditions of Kyrgyzstan allow us to develop all areas of tourism – elite, traditional, health, sports, mountain, environmental, cultural, etc.

Travel companies of Kyrgyzstan acquaint travelers with the untouched nature of the highlands, historical complexes preserved along the route of the Great Silk Road, as well as with the material and spiritual values of the ancient nomadic tribes. There are ideal conditions for tourists in Kyrgyzstan: mountain rivers for rafting, three seven-thousanders for climbers, tracks for snowboarders and skiers for skiing. In Kyrgyzstan, natural walnut forests have been preserved, the unique flower Aigul blooms, the snow leopard and argali Marco Polo live high in the mountains.

Kyrgyzstan has a rich history dating back to ancient times. Representatives of more than 80 nationalities live on the territory of the republic, who, like the Kyrgyz, have preserved their original national traditions and customs, handicrafts, and folklore. For these reasons, the Kyrgyz Republic is of considerable interest for that category of tourists who prefer cultural and educational tourism: you can get acquainted with the life of rural residents, take part in national games, festivals, take a full course of kumis therapy and relax on jailoo (high-mountain pastures) in yurt towns.

One of the most pronounced examples of the Kyrgyz Government's readiness to attract foreign direct investment is the complete abolition from July 2012 of the visa regime for all categories of citizens of a number of foreign states for a period of up to 60 days.

The Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic to Japan stresses its readiness to provide advisory assistance to all interested parties on visiting Kyrgyzstan in the current environment.
