President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sooronbai Zheenbekov signed the Decree “On the appointment of the election of Deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic”.

Guided by paragraph 1 of part 1 of article 64 of the Constitution of the Kyrgyz Republic and part 3 of article 59 of the constitutional Law of the Kyrgyz Republic “On the election of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic and deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic”, it is decided:

Schedule the election of deputies to the new Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic for Sunday, October 4, 2020.

The Central Commission for elections and referendums of the Kyrgyz Republic shall organize elections in accordance with the legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic.

To the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic:

- allocate the necessary financial resources for the conduct of elections in accordance with the cost estimates approved by the Central Commission for elections and referendums of the Kyrgyz Republic;

— during the preparation and conduct of elections, take the necessary measures to ensure the rule of law, the rights and freedoms of citizens, sanitary and epidemiological safety and protection of citizens ' health, law and order and public safety, including the protection of the premises of election commissions and voting premises, their fire safety, escort and protection of vehicles carrying election documents;

- assist the Central Commission for elections and referendums of the Kyrgyz Republic in ensuring cybersecurity of information electronic systems used in the election process, data exchange through the electronic interdepartmental interaction system, as well as in providing uninterrupted and secure communication channels for conducting data transfer processes established by law, forming the voter list and updating it on the basis of the Unified state register of the population.

The Office of the Prosecutor General of the Kyrgyz Republic shall ensure that the Constitution and laws of the Kyrgyz Republic are observed during the preparation and conduct of elections.

Heads of local state administrations, mayors of the cities of Bishkek and Osh, heads of Executive bodies of local self-government to assist in the work of relevant bodies and election commissions on the formation, updating of the list of voters, solving organizational and technical issues in the preparation and conduct of elections.

The decree comes into force on the day of its official publication.
