On February 8, 2022, a meeting of the Board of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic on the results of the activities of the Foreign Ministry for 2021 with the participation of the First Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic Mr. A.Kozhoshev.

Summing up the results of 2021, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Mr. R.Kazakbaev highlighted the main results of the activities of the diplomatic service of the Kyrgyz Republic in the course of the implementation of the three Anti-Crisis Plans of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic (from October 20, 2020 to January 10, 2022), approved by the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Mr. S.Zhaparov, to implement measures in the political and economic spheres, to stabilize the epidemiological situation, to assist in attracting humanitarian and technical assistance in the Kyrgyz Republic, to protect the rights and interests of our citizens abroad.

Minister R.Kazakbaev emphasized that one of the main results of the work of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic over the past period is the strengthening of political dialogue and strategic partnership with leading allies and partners, as well as the achievement of specific agreements on the development of bilateral cooperation.

First Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic Mr. A.Kozhoshev focused on the need to create favorable external conditions for the sustainable and stable development of Kyrgyzstan, improve the quality and standard of living of the people, maintain and develop international political contacts, expand ties on security issues, foreign economic, military technical, cultural, humanitarian, scientific and technical aspects of cooperation.

In general, the participants of the meeting of the Board stated that in the course of the implementation of the Anti-Crisis Plans of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic in 2021, 1729 events were held, including: more than 130 visits and foreign policy events at the highest, high and working levels. Including worked out 13 state, official and working visits of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic; 17 visits of foreign delegations to Kyrgyzstan; 52 visits of delegations of the Kyrgyz Republic at various levels to foreign countries. 95 bilateral and 839 multilateral international documents (total 934), both interstate and intergovernmental and interdepartmental, have been prepared for signing.

An assessment was made of the work of the structural units of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic and foreign missions of the Kyrgyz Republic, and the priority tasks for the medium term for the Ministry were discussed.

Particular attention at the meeting of the Board was drawn to the need to continue active and effective work on the development of economic diplomacy, assistance in attracting investments, promoting domestic exports, tourism potential, creating favorable foreign policy conditions for the development of the country, protecting the rights and interests of citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic abroad.
