Kyrgyz festival dedicated to the presentation of the Kyrgyz Republic, organized by Hamura City Office

As part of the work carried out by the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in Japan in the field of promotion cooperation  in  culture and sports, on January 16, 2021 in Hamura City, Tokyo Prefecture, a Kyrgyz festival dedicated to the presentation of the Kyrgyz Republic, organized by Hamura City Office. Hamura city is the host town for athletes from Kyrgyzstan in judo on preparation for the Olympic Games in Tokyo.

Due to the declaration of a state of emergency in Tokyo, the festival was held in the video format without the participation of the audience. The Mayor of Hamura Mr. Shin Namiki, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to Japan Mr. Mirlan Arstanbaev, as well as the Japanese singer and volunteer Ambassador of Friendship and Goodwill of Hamura and Kyrgyzstan Mr. Mita Ryo made welcoming speeches.

Kyrgyz performer Kalyiman Umetbaeva, Japanese singer Mita Ryo, and Japanese komuzists of the Tokyo Institute of Art performed at the festival. A presentation of Kyrgyz products, culture, tourism, as well as a photo exhibition of Kyrgyz landscapes, national clothing and souvenirs was also held for the audience.

At the end of event, the Mayor of Hamura Shin Namiki presented to Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to Japan Mirlan Arstanbaev album released in support of Kyrgyz judo athletics at the upcoming Olympic Games in Tokyo.
