The Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic to Japan informs about the change in the requirements of the Algorithms of actions to prevent the importation and spread of coronavirus infection (COVID-19) in relation to citizens of foreign states and stateless persons arriving in the Kyrgyz Republic since January 13, 2021.

In accordance with the specified Algorithm, citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic, citizens of foreign countries and stateless persons are allowed on board an aircraft traveling to the Kyrgyz Republic, upon presentation of the results of a PCR test, indicating the absence of coronavirus infection, carried out in the last 72 hours (report from the moment sampling analysis).

Upon arrival in the Kyrgyz Republic, the staff of the sanitary and quarantine points (SQP) will also check the availability of the results of PCR tests and thermometry of passengers when crossing the border.

On board the aircraft, flight attendants provide passengers with a "Questionnaire for arriving in the Kyrgyz Republic", which must be handed over to the UPC staff after filling out.

In case of expiration of the PCR test (72 hours) for objective reasons related to the duration of the flight or a delay in the flight, foreign citizens and stateless persons are required to undergo a PCR test at the place of arrival (at the airport terminals).

Similar requirements apply to citizens arriving in the country by road. “Questionnaire of arriving in the Kyrgyz Republic” is filled out at checkpoints across the State border of the Kyrgyz Republic.

At the same time, the Embassy reminds that the above requirements do not apply to employees of diplomatic missions and consular offices of foreign states in the Kyrgyz Republic, employees of international organizations (with advance notification of arrival through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic), members of official delegations (with advance notification of arrival through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs), drivers carrying out international freight and regular international passenger transportation, preschool children (up to 7 years old inclusive), international observers of the election process in the country.

In this regard, the Embassy strongly recommends that you plan your trips to the Kyrgyz Republic in advance and, when purchasing air tickets, clarify the additional requirements of airlines for transit through third countries.
